Mail Me !

If you've got to this very strange page you might be wondering just exactly what it is!

Below you will find 50 'mail me's all with links to different e-mail addresses. And there are links to ten similar but much longer pages with altogether 76,925 e-mail addresses.

"Huh? What's the point of that?" you ask.
Well they're here because I hate spammers. Each e-mail address contains an anagram of the words 'I hate spammers'.

But why?

Well it's because spammers trawl the web with automated software looking for e-mail addresses and then produce lists of these addresses and offer them for sale. So here you are spammers - Loads of e-mail addresses! Copy them to your hearts delight. Sell them if you can. You see just one out of the whole 76,925 (I hope) is a valid address and you can waste some of your time (and 3 Mb of space on your CDs) - sorting them out from the genuine ones your horrid software finds.
(The one valid e-mail address is there just for testing purposes to see if this list is picked up and anything sent to that address will be discarded unread - If you are wondering - yes, it has been picked up and LOTS of spams are sent to it:)

With any luck other webmasters will start doing the same and your e-mail harvesting software will become useless since the real addresses in it will be swamped by the bogus ones.

There's also a link to a page which will send spam robots into a loop and give them a new page of totally fake e-mail addresses every four seconds. Thank you Monkeys.com for that useful script.

Here's a few 'spam' facts:

  • 29 out of every 30 e-mails sent are now spam
  • A very small number of spammers send the bulk of all spam
  • Even with strong filtering and very effective anti spam software I still have to delete manually over 100 spam messages per day
  • In lost time, spam costs me £470 per year!
  • If just one in a thousand has the same level of spam and charges a tenth of my price for their time then that means spammers are stealing £94,000,000 ($138,000,000 US) from us per year! This is a major crime!
  • Only an idiot would now buy prescription drugs from spam e-mail - It's a bit like responding to an e-mail saying 'send me $20 and I'll send you a $100 note' - (Yeah. Right). Unfortunately it seems there are lots of idiots out there.

Each of the following e-mail addresses is a spam trap (not good places for spammers to send spam to). Whatever you do don't e-mail them since your e-mail will automatically be added to their lists of spammers
