Only a short time later, on February 20, 2007, Britney admitted herself to a treatment facility in Malibu, California. A statement by her manager read, "We ask that the media respect her privacy as well as those of her family and friends at this time." Britney left the clinic for a short time but returned on 22 Feb, one day after her ex-husband had sought emergency custody of the children. Britney's attorney announced that his client asked to cancel the court appearance - no further explanation was given. Finally, on 20 March it was announced that Britney had left the clinic after successfully completing her treatment program.
Despite the trials, tribulation and pressure Britney has been forced to undergo, I have to believe she hasn't been licked yet. Since she hit the stage for the first time, at the age of eight, on Star Search, Britney has sold over 76 millions records worldwide, published four books, done 7 sucessful DVD's, advertised for Pepsi and other major big wigs, She's endorsed a doll, a video game and participated in seven tours, grossing over $150 million US from ticket sales and over $45 million in merchandise from her tours. She's also endorsed a fragrance, Curious, earning her $12 million US. After one year of sales, Curious netted more than $100 million and was named the best selling perfume of 2004. Following 'Curious' Britney released her next Elizabeth Arden frangrance, 'Fantasy' in September 2005. In April 2006, Britney launced Curious: In Control as a limted edition perfume and in 2006 she released yet another fragrance, Midnight Fantasy. On 8 August, 2007 a promotional photo featuring Britney was released for her newest fragrance with Elizabeth Arden, Believe.
