Britney's fourth world tour, 'The Onyx Hotel Tour' (grossing over $34 million dollars US) started in March, and was seen by over 600,000 fans in North America and Europe. One of her singles, Everytime reached the top twenty in the US but landed number one position in the UK and Austrailia, as well as others. The Onyx Hotel Tour, like her Mexico City Tour in 2002 would be cut short due to a knee injury(The MRI scan showed floating cartlidge in her knee) Britney sustained while filming the music video 'Outrageous'. In this same month Britney annouced her engagement to a dancer by the name of Kevin Federline who would later become known as simply, K-fed. Rumor has it that Britney proposed to Kevin only 3 months into the relationship. Looking back, perhaps she should have given this a bit more thought before taking the plunge.
Britney and Kevin's actually took part in two separate weddings. The mock wedding, due to the fact that Britney's lawyer had not yet prepared the prenuptial agreement, took place, privately at a residence in Studio California, with only twenty-seven guest invited to the ceremony. Britney reportedly wore a strapless, white gown by Monique Lhullier and Kevin wore a black tuxedo by Jeff Fox and Scott Hill. The wedding party later went out for a night on the town wearing sweatsuits. They apparently partied until after two in the morning. The validity of the marriage was questioned but was confirmed in November that Britney and Kevin had indeed filed their marriage license (filed 6 October, 2004) within the required ten days and the union was completely legal and binding.
